The Turkish Volleyball Leagues—comprising the women's Vodafone Sultanlar Ligi and the men's SMS Grup Efeler Ligi—stand among the most elite professional volleyball competitions in the world. Organized by the Turkish Volleyball Federation (TVF), the leagues feature top-tier domestic players and international superstars. The women's Sultanlar Ligi is particularly prestigious, with its clubs regularly winning the CEV Champions League and dominating global club championships.
Top teams
The battle for domestic supremacy is intensely competitive. In the 2025/26 women's season, VakıfBank claimed the title after a grueling 3–2 play-off final series victory over Fenerbahçe Medicana, with Eczacıbaşı Dynavit remaining a top challenger. On the men's side, Ziraat Bankkart captured the Efeler Ligi championship by defeating Galatasaray HDI Sigorta 3–0 in the final series, with Halkbank continuing to act as a major threat.
Format
Both the Sultanlar Ligi and Efeler Ligi consist of 14 teams playing a 26-game double round-robin regular season. The top four teams in the standings advance to the championship play-offs, playing best-of-three semifinal and final series to determine the national champion. The bottom two teams at the end of the regular season are relegated to the Turkish First League.
